Yes. Residents MUST take Texas courses. Non-resident producers may take initial and refresher courses in Texas or their resident state that has implemented a training requirement based on the 2006 Act. Please note that currently CA, CT, DC, DE, HI, IN, MS and NY are not reciprocal with Texas
