| Agency License Requirements |
For an advisor who wants to be licensed in Florida and also assigns their commissions to their agency (they are the principal). The following is required per the NIPR website and Florida DOI: To be the Agent in Charge of an agency, an individual must be both licensed AND appointed for the required agent licenses to transact the lines of insurance being handled at the location. You must contact an authorized insurance carrier or insurer to request that they submit an appointment on your behalf. Once the appointment has been received you may then designate yourself as the Agent in Charge of your agency and apply for the agency license. |
