TransCare® II Updates
Transamerica remains committed to you and to the Long Term Care Insurance business. As such, we are especially pleased to bring back sales in the Washington, D.C. market.

Due to recent claims experience, and in an ongoing effort to manage our business, new business premium rates have been revised. The following changes to TransCare® II will become effective on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 for Florida and Washington, D.C.

Additional information about the changes:
The current spouse/partner applying discount of 20% will be increased to 30%. The spouse/partner not applying discount will be increased from 10% to 15%.
TransCare II quotes previously saved for business in Florida and Washington, D.C. will no longer be available on TransQuote as of November 1, 2016.
The Tailored Benefit Increase Option Rider will now be available in eApp and paper applications.
There are new application and disclosure packages that must be used beginning on November 1, 2016. Joint packages will not be available. To locate the new packages, please visit www.taltc.com. Old versions of the application and disclosure packages will not be accepted after October 31, 2016.
For association business only:
In order for applications to be accepted under the old rates, all applications must be properly completed, signed, dated and received in the Home Office by end of business on Monday, October 31, 2016.
For worksite business only:
Business for which an Implementation Memo has already been approved will be honored at the old rates, according to the terms outlined and described within the Implementation Memo.
Current open enrollments will not be impacted by any of these changes until the enrollment period ends. Annual Re-Enrollments and new hire cases beginning after November 1, 2016 be will issued at the new rates.
For business for which an Implementation Memo is not yet approved, to be considered for old rates, we must receive a properly completed Service Group Request (SGR), along with a complete census file in our Home Office prior to the close of business on October 31, 2016. Enrollments for cases approved under old rates must be completed within 90 days of October 31, 2016 or within the time period specified within the Implementation Memo.
We reserve the right to decline to offer an enrollment under old rates if we deem it necessary.
