Teaming up to feed our community

As COVID-19 continues to impact our communities, hunger relief agency Second Helpings, central Indiana restauranteur Sahm’s and OneAmerica found a creative way to offer a critical service. By converting a kitchen and cafeteria in the OneAmerica Tower into a meal-preparation service, over 100,000 (and counting) ready-to-go meals have been assembled for low-income families. OneAmerica is proud to support nourishing our community. Read more about this collaboration.

Update: Lapsed policies and grace period extensions

We recognize that due to the far-reaching effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, some life insurance policyowners may struggle to pay their premiums on time. As we announced recently , we’ve established new procedures to help those who have a real need during this time. Since then, we’ve also implemented an automated solution to allow our administrative systems to reflect the grace period extension for policies that have not yet lapsed. Starting when this solution was implemented for each of our administrative platforms, these policies will begin to show as inforce within our systems, not as lapsed. Additionally, we will begin sending out letters to ILFS policyholders who have moved into the extended grace period, and producers will receive copies of these letters. Note: This update DOES impact non-forfeiture options (RPU, APL, ETI, etc.). Please reach out to the Sales Desk at 844-833-5520 with any questions.

Enhancing your experience in 2020

NEW: Care Solutions Calculator updates

We recently made two key improvements to the Care Solutions Calculator to improve your experience with the tool. First, you can now choose the inflation duration you wish to show, rather than being limited to the 20-year capped option only. Second, on single premium life cases with recurring premium COB, we have added a check box option to include COB in the premium. Start quoting today!

Reminder: Place your LTCG interview order with one click

No more calls for tele-interview orders! The new auto-order button within eApp automatically places your LTCG order with nothing more than one click. Simply follow the on-screen prompts within eApp, and your client will receive an email with a link to schedule their interview online.
