Important Product Updates – 2019 New and Discontinued Products
Industry-wide, life insurance carriers have been busy making changes to their product suite to ensure compliance with 2017 Commissioners Standard Ordinary (CSO) regulations by the end of the year. In preparation for the transition, Nationwide has put in place guidelines to ensure the best customer experience and compliance to these regulations:

  • Beginning December 9, 2019, Nationwide will no longer accept new business for any life insurance products using 2001 CSO pricing.
  • All new business received prior to this date for 2001 CSO products must be issued by December 31, 2019, or they must transition to a 2017 CSO compliant product.
Please review the transition guidelines so you can plan accordingly for new and existing life cases throughout the remainder of the year. If you have any questions, please contact the Life Solutions Center.
