Refresher Training

4 Hour Course (which must include 1 hour of WI-specific Medicaid training)

Training Reciprocity Between States

Resident Producers:   Resident producers MUST take the 8 hour training course in their Resident State.  This means that you cannot take an 8 hour course in another State.  You must take the course offered for Resident Producers in Wisconsin.  This is information on Clearcert's website

Non-Resident Producers:   May take a Wisconsin 8-hour NAIC Partnership course OR they may take an 8-hour NAIC Partnership course from another state plus a 2-hour Wisconsin specific Medicaid and long-term care course that has been approved by the state of Wisconsin.

For clarity, the 2 hour Wisconsin specific course is a required renewal course and a 1 hour renewal training must be done at the end of each license renewal period.

Please note that currently CA, CT, DC, DE, HI, IN, MS and NY are not reciprocal with Wisconsin

Training/Lapse Guidelines

Refresher must be taken at the end of each license renewal period.  Lapse in training is allowed

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT ALL CARRIERS (EXCEPT MOO) CONSIDER WISCONSIN TO BE A PRE-APPOINTMENT STATE.  TRAINING AND CONTRACTING  MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO SOLICITING BUSINESS
