Training Reciprocity Between States

Resident  - Producers licensed to sell LTC insurance products in Vermont after March 31, 2010, must complete a one-time initial 8-hour NAIC LTC training course before they can sell, solicit, or negotiate LTC Products. 2 hours must contain Vermont-specific information including Vermont Medicaid information

Non-Resident Producers:  Producers who have completed another state’s qualified LTCP course will need to complete a 2-hour Vermont specific Medicaid course.  This is a one time only requirement and no renewal is required.

Please note that currently CA, CT, DC, DE, HI, IN, MS and NY are not reciprocal with Vermont

Training/Lapse Guidelines

4 hour Refresher course must be done within 24 months of the previous training.

Annuity

To sell Annuity products, Annuity and Best Interest training is required as well as Product Training with both Global Atlantic and OneAmerica.  Requirements and rules vary by state.  Please reach out to licensing to get help with the requirements and product codes for the Product Training requirement at licensing@ltcipartners.com
