Update 9/1/17 - there is no reciprocity between Delaware training and other states.  If a resident Delaware advisor wishes to write in another state (i.e., MD, NJ, PA as examples), they will have to take an 8 hour initial and subsequent 4 hour refreshers.

Update 7/13/20 - Non-Resident advisors must be in compliance in their RESIDENT state in order to write in Delaware.

Initial training:   All Delaware health producers who solicit LTC policies must complete at least 3 hours of state-approved Delaware LTC training during the 2-year license term in which the product is solicited. SEE SPECIFIC GUIDELINES PER CARRIER LISTED BELOW!!!!!

Refresher training: Required every 2 years if LTC is sold during that time

Genworth - Residents must have a 3 hour state-approved Delaware training course.  Cannot use any other States CE as reciprocal course (per Ashley).  Refresher as stated above

Lifesecure - Residents must have a 3 hour state-approved Delaware training course.  Cannot use any other States CE as reciprocal course (per Kimberly).  Refresher as stated above

Lincoln - per email dated 7/29/19 from Amy Daigle - no states are reciprocal with DE and the advisor must take the 3 hour DE training

Mutual of Omaha (per Amy) - Residents must have a 3 hour state-approved Delaware training course minimum or take the Delaware 8 hour CE.  Cannot use any other States CE as reciprocal course.  Refresher as state above.  Per email from Dosh Byrd on 8/2/19 - non-resident producers are NOT required to complete DE training!!

National Guardian Life (per Monica 10-12-22) - Residents must take the resident DE training.  Non-residents can take the training of their own resident state and it will be reciprocal.  If the resident is in a state that does NOT require training (NY), then no training will be required.

Nationwide (per Hajra 1-6-21) - They have the following options:

1.  The advisor can take the Delaware 3 hour CE

2.  The advisor can take the Delaware 8 hour CE which includes the 3 hour training

3.  The advisor can use a reciprocal 8 hour CE from another reciprocal state (for example:  Advisor has an 8 hour in VA, this will be reciprocal with Delaware).  The only state not reciprocal would be California.

Transamerica (updated 8-14-17 per Jennifer) - Residents must have a 3 hour state-approved Delaware training course minimum or take the Delaware 8 hour CE.  Cannot use any other States CE as reciprocal course.  Refresher as stated above
