Training/Lapse Guidelines |
Initial Training - Resident producers must complete a one-time 16 hour training course consisting of 8 hours of General LTC training (classroom or online) and 8 hours of training specific to LTC Partnership (classroom only). Non-resident producers may take the CO 16 hour course OR they may take an 8 hour NAIC Partnership course from another state. Resident Producers Update as of 11-8-23 (per Clearcert email). Here is an example of CO resident advisor writing in another state. If an advisor is a resident of CO but has not taken the 16 hours and wants to write in Arizona (for example), he can take the 8 hour in AZ and write in AZ or any other NAIC approved state using that 8 hour, but he cannot write in CO because all of the requirements have not been met for CO. Nationwide: Update 7/22/25 from Hajra: They no longer require the non-resident advisor to take Colorado Partnership training, but the rules are as follows in the example below:
Refresher Training - required every 24 months after completing the initial training. The 5 hours must be completed in a classroom setting. Go to LTC Connections to sign up: www.ltcconnection.com Lapse in training is allowed |
