TransCare® III - Now with 180 day and 365 day Elimination Periods in KS

Transamerica Life Insurance Company is pleased to announce that the state of Kansas has now approved two additional elimination periods - 180 days and 365 days - on the TransCare® III individual long term care insurance product. Effective May 17, 2016, TransCare III will be available with 0, 30, 60, 90, 180, and 365 day elimination periods from which your clients can choose.

 

Only Paper Applications Will be Accepted

 

Effective this Tuesday, May 17, 2016 only paper applications will be available with TransCare III in Kansas. The new application form number will be ICC13 TLC-4-JABCAPP [KS PV2-TCIII] and will be available for download from ARC.

e-App Suspended in Kansas Effective May 17, 2016

 

While we undergo system updates to implement this change, the e-App will be suspended in Kansas for TransCare III. We will communicate to you when the e-App has been updated and is available for use.

Transition Rules

  • The old application (ICC13 TLC-4-JABCAPP [KS PV-TCIII]) will be available on the e-App through May 16, 2016 and will not include the new extended elimination periods. On May 17, 2016 the e-App will no longer be available in Kansas for TransCare III.

  • The old applications (ICC13 TLC-4-JABCAPP [KS PV-TCIII]) may be submitted on paper through June 17, 2016 and will not include the new extended elimination periods

  • New applications (ICC13 TLC-4-JABCAPP [KS PV2-TCIII]) that contain the new extended elimination periods of 180 and 365 days will be available beginning May 17, 2016 and will be available for download on the ARC.
